Seo-Se-Pol Bridge
Seo-se-pol hasĀ 33 arches or portalsĀ (seo-se means 33 in Farsi and pol means bridge). The bridge was originally designed for traffic, but is now a pedestrian bridge only. There are two sidewalks on the sides of the road (image 10) and two arched pedestrian passages on the outsides of the bridge (images 5 and 6).

Seo-se-pol was commissioned by the Safavid Shah Abbas I around 1,600 C.E. in the name of his Chancellor Allah Verdi Khan.
